The Question is:
Does Compaq provide an X font server running under OpenVMS?
We use PC based X servers (Exceed) as X-terminals to run applications on an
OpenVMS machine. As Exceed does not really support scalable fonts (Type1),
we'd like to provide the fonts using a font server.
The Answer is :
DECwindows provides a font daemon (DECW$FD).
In particular, see information on the DECW$XTERMINAL_FONT and
DECW$INSTALL_XTERMINAL logical names.
Also please take a look at the PATHWORKS 32 eXcursion package manuals
and at VXT (Freeware) documentation.
