Remove Network Device (TCP/IP Services)?

The Question is:

 
I have an Alpha 4720 server running OpenVMS V6.2.  Currently there are 2
 Network Interface Cards , one is ethernet and the other is FDDI.  In the past
 someone disabled the Ethernet and Installed the FDDI.  I need to know how to
 disable the FDDI device and
 renable the ethernet.  I am running UCX V4.1  I  tried removing the FDDI card
 and booting with just the ethernet.  The ethernet  looks to be setup correctly
 but will not transmit or recieve.  Any help you can offer would be greatly
 appreciated.
