Port Security Violation?

» close window

The Question is:

What product produces the error message "Port Security violation on 5. Access
denied."? Is it even an OpenVMS error message?
We are running OpenVMS 6.2-1H3 on a cluster of two AlphaServer 4100s. Our file
management system is Cognos Powerhouse and our application is Precision 2000
 from HBOC.
The error message appears when the user is navigating the menu system in the
Precision 2000 application. Usually the user can back out of the application,
reenter the application and work normally.
Any help you can offer would be appreciated.

The Answer is :

That is not an OpenVMS error message.

If the error is based on an underlying OpenVMS security violation,
you might be able to use OpenVMS security auditing to track the error.

That said, contact the organization supporting the package that is
  reporting the error.
