ALOHUGEPAGE, huge page memory allocation failure?

» close window

The Question is:

The Status Code seems to mean (if I'm not mistaken) "Device is not mounted".

What am I doing wrong?

The Answer is :

  Please contact the Compaq Customer Support Center, as details of the
  StorageWorks environment will be required -- this does not initially
  appear to be a problem with OpenVMS itself, but a problem with the
  StorageWorks configuration.

  As for the ALOHUGEPAGE bootstrap error, bootstrap requesting the full
  display of bootstrap messages (b -fl 0,10000) -- this error is typically
  a result of excessively large GH_* system parameters settings or due to
  insufficient physical memory available.

  As for the specific error reported:

$ exit %x124
%SYSTEM-F-INSFMEM, insufficient dynamic memory

  The error value displayed uses hexidecimal, and not (as you had
  apparently assumed) decimal.
