Making DECss7 GTT rules static?

» close window

The Question is:

I manage distributed SS7 platforms consisting of either several BEP and FEP
nodes or a dual monolith (BEP+FEP) nodes. When making a change into the GTT
Rules tables and applying it from a single node, I succeed in activating that
 change. Though I neverthe
less MUST re-apply the change again on the event of ss7$shutdown/ss7$startup.

I tried to find on the Internet what is the correct procedure to make a change
into the GTT Rules tables across all nodes of a distributed SS7 platform and
make it static rather than dynamic as it seems to be. I had no success. Could
 you please give me an
y hint? TIA

The Answer is :

The procedure described -- populating the standby table, and then
making it active with the "switch_table" command -- is correct.

Once the changes are made, the settings should survive over any
  IN7 shutdown-restart sequences.

The OpenVMS Wizard strongly encourages you to report this behavior
to the organization supporting your IN7 environment.
