Disable Printer Symbiont Message Broadcasts?

» close window

The Question is:

How do I shut-off the broadcast userdata msgs.
They are annoying my staff.

The Answer is :

If the userdata messages are unsolicited PJL messages, they can be turned
off with a DCPS-supplied, unsupported command procedure:

    SYS$COMMON:[SYSHLP.EXAMPLES.DCPS]UNSOLICITED-PJL-FIX.COM

Alternatively, the DCL command SET BROADCAST can be used.

For symbionts other than DCPS, details on the particular symbiont involved
would be of interest -- please contact the symbiont vendor, if there is no
means of disabling the generation of this information from within the
  particular symbiont.
