The Question is:
We have recently set up a router connecting the network at our corporate office
to one of our manufacturing facilities. I am trying to set up a network
gateway so the manufacturing facility can connect to our machine. I used the
following command to set
up the gateway
set route /default/perm/gateway=192.9.200.95. It did not work and I would like
to know what I have to do in order to set it up properly.
The Answer is :
Assuming you have attempted the commands described in the OpenVMS
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for this task, you will want to
upgrade to the ECO or (better) to the current version and ECO, and
this try again. The sequence described in the FAQ has been tested
and does function -- and your OpenVMS Alpha release and your TCP/IP
Services release and your ECO level are all quite outdated.
